Is Kim Kardashian the Most Powerful Influencer?

wikipedia

Kim Kardashian West is one of the most well-known celebrities in the world. She rose to fame through her reality television show Keeping Up With The Kardashians and has since built a massive digital empire. With over 200 million followers on Instagram alone, Kim Kardashian has become a powerful influencer in the world of social media.

Many people consider Kim Kardashian to be the most powerful influencer in the world. She has the ability to influence her followers’ purchasing decisions, political views, and even their opinions on social issues. Her influence is so great that she has been able to launch successful businesses, such as her shapewear line Skims, and even advocate for criminal justice reform.

However, some argue that Kim Kardashian’s influence is not entirely positive. Her promotion of products such as appetite-suppressing lollipops and waist trainers has been criticized for promoting unhealthy body image ideals. Additionally, her lack of transparency in disclosing paid partnerships and promotions has led to fines and calls for greater regulation of the influencer industry. Despite these criticisms, it is undeniable that Kim Kardashian has a significant impact on popular culture and the world of social media.

Defining Influence

Kim Kardashian West has been called the most powerful influencer in the world, but what exactly does it mean to be an influencer? In this section, we will define what an influencer is and explore the power of influence.

What is an influencer?

An influencer is someone who has the ability to affect the behavior or opinions of others. They typically have a large following on social media and are seen as experts or authorities in their respective fields. Influencers can be celebrities, athletes, bloggers, or anyone with a significant online presence.

According to a study by Influencer Marketing Hub, the most common platforms for influencers are Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. These platforms allow influencers to share their content with a wide audience and engage with their followers in real-time.

Brands often partner with influencers to promote their products or services to their followers. This type of marketing, known as influencer marketing, has become increasingly popular in recent years as traditional advertising methods have become less effective.

The Power of Influence

The power of influence lies in an influencer’s ability to connect with their audience on a personal level. Influencers often share their personal experiences and opinions, which can make their followers feel like they know them on a deeper level.

Research has shown that people are more likely to trust recommendations from someone they know or admire than from traditional advertising. This is why influencer marketing can be so effective, as it allows brands to tap into the trust and loyalty that influencers have built with their followers.

Kim Kardashian West is a prime example of the power of influence. With over 200 million followers on Instagram, she has the ability to reach a massive audience and shape popular culture. Her endorsements and product launches have been known to cause a surge in sales and website traffic.

However, it’s important to note that not all influencers have the same level of influence. The effectiveness of influencer marketing depends on a variety of factors, including the influencer’s niche, audience, and engagement rate.

In conclusion, influencers have the power to shape opinions, drive sales, and even change the course of popular culture. As the world becomes increasingly digital, the role of influencers in marketing and media will only continue to grow.

Kim Kardashian’s Influence

Early Career

Kim Kardashian’s rise to fame began in the early 2000s when she worked as a stylist for celebrities such as Paris Hilton. However, it was her appearance in a sex tape with Ray J in 2007 that truly thrust her into the spotlight.

Despite the scandal, Kardashian used the attention to her advantage and began to build her brand. She appeared on reality shows such as Dancing with the Stars and Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which premiered in 2007 and became a massive success.

The Kardashian Empire

As Keeping Up with the Kardashians continued to air, the Kardashian family became a household name. The show followed the lives of Kim, her sisters, and their mother Kris Jenner, and showcased their glamorous lifestyle and personal dramas.

As the show gained popularity, the Kardashians began to expand their brand. They launched clothing lines, makeup collections, and even a mobile game. They also opened up their lives to their fans on social media, which helped to further increase their influence.

Social Media Presence

Kim Kardashian is known for her massive following on social media. As of 2023, she has over 300 million followers across various platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok.

Her social media presence has allowed her to connect with fans and promote her brand. She often shares photos and videos of herself and her family, as well as sponsored content for various companies.

Brand Collaborations

Kim Kardashian has collaborated with numerous brands throughout her career. In 2019, she launched her own shapewear line, Skims, which quickly became a success. She has also worked with companies such as KKW Beauty, Calvin Klein, and Adidas.

Her brand collaborations have helped to solidify her status as a powerful influencer. She has the ability to sway her massive following to purchase products and support brands that she endorses.

Other Influencers to Consider

Top Influencers by Follower Count

Kim Kardashian may be the most powerful influencer in the world, but she is not the only one with a massive following. Instagram has become a hub for influencers, and there are several other influencers with a significant number of followers.

One of the top influencers by follower count is Cristiano Ronaldo, a Portuguese professional footballer, who has over 300 million followers on Instagram. Other notable influencers with a large following include Kylie Jenner, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and Selena Gomez.

Influencers with the Most Engagement

Having a large following is great, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that an influencer has the most engagement. Engagement is a crucial metric for influencers because it measures how many people are interacting with their content.

One influencer who has a high engagement rate is Huda Kattan, a beauty influencer with over 50 million followers on Instagram. Her engagement rate is around 3.6%, which is significantly higher than the average engagement rate for influencers.

Other influencers with a high engagement rate include Chiara Ferragni, Zoe Sugg, and Aimee Song.

Influencers with the Most Impact

While follower count and engagement are essential metrics for influencers, impact is equally important. Impact measures how much influence an influencer has on their audience and how much they can affect their behavior.

One influencer who has had a significant impact is Greta Thunberg, a Swedish environmental activist who has used her platform to raise awareness about climate change. Another influencer who has made an impact is Malala Yousafzai, a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest Nobel Prize laureate.

Other influencers who have made a significant impact include Michelle Obama, Emma Watson, and Oprah Winfrey.

MyTips for Dry Skin

skin cream jar

Dry skin can be a real problem if you don’t take steps to prevent it. Dry skin cracks easily and it can be caused by a few different reasons; most of which are environmental. If you’re noticing that you’re getting dry skin then here are some of my favorite tips for dry skin.

Don’t Sit in the Bath

It sounds counterproductive but you need to avoid spending too long in the bath or the shower. You need to avoid using hot water in the bath and shower as well. If water is too warm then it dries out the natural oils ( sebum) on the skin which prevents your skin from keeping itself moist. I also recommend using gentle soaps to prevent moisture from being stripped away from the skin. And by the way avoid clay mask as it is too drying.

Post-Bath

After you get out of the bath or shower you should avoid rubbing yourself dry with a towel. You should pat dry away any excess water instead to ensure your skin stays soft. This also reduces skin irritation risk. You should moisturise when you get out of the bath. Instead of moisturising you a skin moisturiser helps your skin retain any moisture it has. This means that using it after a bath, when your body is nice and wet, is a smart idea.

Avoid Anti-Aging

If you suffer from dry skin then you need to avoid using anti-aging products. If you insist on using them then you need to buy ones that don’t contain retinoid or AHAs. Avoid also ascorbic acid and use instead derivatives. These are the 3 main ingredients in anti-aging products that are bad for dry skin. They can irritate it and make the problem worse.

Fish Oil

Taking supplements and eating a balanced diet has an effect on the entire body, including your skin. Some of the fish oils that are good for skin are best taken as a pill or supplement. Cod liver oil in particular is known to be great for the skin. This is due to the omega-3 fatty acids in cod liver oil. So eat more fish with omega-3 or take some supplements keep your skin healthy.

Don’t Forget the Lips

Your lips are particularly prone to chapping so be sure to use a lib scrub to keep your lips nourished and healthy. You can mix together your own scrub using sugar and lemon if you would like to save money and go all-natural. Don’t forget to apply lip balm once every few hours to prevent your lips from cracking. You should also take steps to protect your lip from damage caused by dust, pollution and the wind.

The good news about having dry skin is that it’s entirely treatable and it doesn’t even take a lot of effort. Just avoid lingering in the bath, choose the right time to moisturise, avoid harmful beauty products, get some healthy oils, and don’t forget your lips. Pretty soon you’ll be well on your way to ever having to deal with dry skin again.

Why using Vitamin C is important for your skin

I had heard so much about the importance of vitamin C but frankly I never really used it as I thought it was pure marketing. 3 years ago, I decided to give it a try as there was some huge sale (black Friday). I tried the skinceuticals vitam C with ferulic acid. I was really amazed buy the results after 2 months, my skin was so much better that I use it almost every 2 months as an intensive treatment.

Everybody knows that Vitamin C improves our health conditions, helping to boost the immune system when sick. However, many are not aware (as I used to) of its ability to keep the skin fresh, glowing and younger.

Vitamin C helps the body produce collagen – an effective nutrient for anti-aging. Collagen gives the skin its strength and elasticity. Vitamin C is also effective in inhibiting melanin (skin pigmentation) synthesis, helping to fade hyperpigmentation (dark spots caused by increased production of melanin) over time.

I really think Vitamin C should be part of your skin regimen – a routine that helps preserve your skin in the long run.

Here are reasons you should feed your skin with this super Vitamin.

Vitamin C – a protective antioxidant

Antioxidants fight the effects of free radical damage and inflammation caused by pollution, exposure to sun and other factors on your skin. These free radicals cause premature aging of the skin. These free radicals enhance the effects of oxidation as is well noticed when a cut apple is exposed to air. When lemon juice (with high Vitamin C content) is applied, this apple returns to its original state. Take note too, that consistency is vital here. Studies have shown that Vitamin C application on the skin over a 90-day period is very effective.

Vitamin C exists in different forms. The L-ascorbic acid form of Vitamin C penetrates deep into the layers of the skin, proving to be a more effective antioxidant for the skin cells.

An Effective Melanin Suppressant

The L-ascorbic form of Vitamin C is more effective in inhibiting the overproduction of melanin. With consistent use of Vitamin C over time, it can help lighten dark spots that are present as a result of the melanin pigmentation process. Although there are more effective short-term skin care remedies, Vitamin C remains one of the best solutions, as it is great even for sensitive skin. For better effect, especially in cases of skin discoloration, it is best to use Vitamin C in combination with other mild ingredients such as soy and licorice extract.

When purchasing your next skin care product, ensure you look up the product label for the ingredients list to check for the L-ascorbic form of Vitamin C. it is even healthier when the active form of Vitamin E, alpha tocopherol is also present. They are more effective as a team for the skin.

Other effective forms of Vitamin C

Although L-ascorbic acid is a more effective and outstanding form of Vitamin C, there are other stable and great forms of this Vitamin. These forms include ascobyl glucoside, ascorbyl palmitate, magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, sodium ascorbyl phosphate, tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, and retinyl ascorbate.

If you want to read about all the benefits of vitamin C serum, check the blog post by awesome sophie, I learnt a lot about different vitamin C serums, how to choose it and why it is that good for us.

My tip : I use my vitamin C serum right after a clay mask. The serum really penetrates much quicker.

It is also very important to remember that upon exposure to light, all antioxidants including Vitamin C are vulnerable and could break down. Therefore, using products in dark or opaque jars while ensuring they are away from light will preserve the Vitamin C content and ensure you have a brighter, fresher skin free from any unnecessary spots.

The Benefits Of Clay for Skin

You know I love beauty masks, especially those with clay because of the benefits for your skin. The type of clay I like most is bentonite clay. Don’t worry if you’ve never heard of it. What you need to know about it is that it’s a healing clay and it’s great for your skin. Some people even like to eat or drink it. I’ll just be focusing on the benefits for your skin though.

Treats Skin Conditions Such as Eczema and Dermatitis

If you combine the clay with water and let the mixture dry on your skin it will absorb the bacteria and toxins to remove them and cleanse your skin. With a good clay treatment your skin can be free of blemishes and redness. Bentonite clay can also fight allergic reactions and poison ivy. This antibiotic power of bentonite clay also means that it can be used to clear up skin conditions such as eczema and help your skin recover from a cut or wound.

Bath Soak For Toxin Removal

The next time you run a bath you should throw in some bentonite clay to create a soaking liquid that binds to the toxins your skin releases in the bath. The clay makes your bath more effective and leaves you feeling smoother, better hydrated and less inflamed than a regular bath would. It also makes things much more relaxing. Just sit in the bath, wash yourself off, and let the clay take care of all the hard work.

Baby Powder

Bentonite clay is good for your baby’s skin as well as yours. It makes for a wonderful alternative to baby powder. It reduces redness and irritation and soothes skin in much the same way as traditional baby powder. It’s also much gentler than regular baby powder and is a natural cleanser. Just apply some of the clay to the skin and let it sit for a few minutes before you wash it away.

Detoxification

Bentonite clay isn’t the only clay that’s good for your skin. Kaolin clay benefits include detoxifying your skin. This clay is rich in silica which can be used to remove dead skin cells so that new ones can take its place and your skin regenerates and refreshes. This detoxifies and purifies your skin. Kaolin clay also contains minerals and phytonutrients that keep your skin free of toxins. To get these benefits you should apply a thin layer to your skin or face and leave it for half an hour before washing it out.

Softens the Skin

If you want softer skin then you need to get some kaolin clay powder. You can take this powder and soften your skin with it by mixing into your regular lotion or skin cream and applying it as usual. To enhance the effects consider using an essential oil. Many people who have tried kaolin clay powder have reported it makes their skin softer, so give it a try for yourself.

Clay is useful for more than just pottery. See what bentonite clay, kaolin clay, and all the other kinds of clay can do for your skin.  I would also love to hear about your results 🙂

Facial Exercises to fight Double Chin

chin-graphic

A double chin is caused by having too much fat in your neck and face. Like most fat it can be eliminated through a good diet and exercise regime. If you’re looking to get rid of your double chin then here are some facial exercises to fight double chin to help you out.

Chin Lifts

While you can have a chin lift surgery to correct your double chin you can also do chin lift exercises if you don’t want to go that far. A chin lift will stretch and tone your jaw, neck and throat muscles. It’s pretty easy to do a chin lift. It only takes three simple steps:

  • Stand or sit up and keep your back straight
  • Tilt your head backwards so that you’re looking up at the ceiling
  • Pucker your lips together tightly, as if you were kissing someone

When you’re doing this you need to try to avoid moving any other facial muscles. Only move your lips and your head. Keep your lips puckered for a count of five and release. Do the exercise 5 to 10 times in a row.

Neck Roll

A neck roll tones and stretches your jaw muscles, throat muscles and neck muscles, and it also takes the tension out of your shoulders to ease any shoulder and neck pain you might be feeling. The following is how to perform a neck roll:

  • Sit or stand up straight
  • Turn your head to the side while breathing in so that your chin touches your shoulder and you’re looking to one side
  • Roll your head downwards as you exhale until your chin rests on your chest. Don’t forget to keep your spin straight and keep your shoulders square
  • Lift your head back up while you inhale until your chin is touching your other shoulder. By the end you should be looking at the other side

Pout and Tilt

The pout and tilt pretty much speaks for itself. It stretches the skin on your neck and your lips. Follow these simple steps to do a pout and tilt.

  • Sit or stand up straight
  • Stick out your lower lip and pout; you know you’ve put your bottom lip out far enough when the skin on your chin feels wrinkly and puckered
  • Hold this position for a second
  • Keep your lip stuck out and lower your chin to your chest
  • Hold this position for another second
  • Relax your lips as you straight back up
  • Repeat the exercise for two sets of twenty reps

Stick Out Tongue

Just sticking out your tongue can be a great way to build up the muscles in your chin to reduce your double chin. It’s a simple exercise that goes a long way. Here’s how to do it:

  • Sit or stand in a relaxed position
  • Open up your mouth as wide as possible
  • Stick out your tongue as far as possible so your neck and chin tighten
  • Hold this position for a count of ten before relaxing and returning to the starting position
  • Repeat the exercise for ten reps

Facial exercises can be a great way to get rid of your double chin without going through surgery. Here is the blog post about face fact removal that helped me write this blog post. It is very complete and could be interesting for those who look for all the treatments or alternatives to lose face fat. Thanks again sophie 🙂

I clearly focused on facial exercise as it is safer.

Keep in mind that with any exercise you need to keep up a regular regimen if you want to see some real results. Don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t happen right away.

What to visit in new jersey

You know I live in New jersey even if I travel a lot now. New Jersey has a bit of a reputation for being, well, New Jersey. I wanted to show you guys that  this reputation is not very fair. The fact is there are plenty of things to see and do in New Jersey.

Here are a list of the places in New Jersey you need to check out :

Cape May County Park And Zoo

cape-may-zoo

Animal lovers will really enjoy the Cape May County Park and Zoo located in Cape May in New Jersey. There are tons of animals for you to see and plenty of things to enjoy and, best of all, it’s free admission!

They take donations and appreciate any support you can offer, but they won’t make you pay to see the animals in the first place. It’s a great way to kill an afternoon and a wonderful place to take kids.

Cape May Beaches

cape-may-beach2

Speaking of Cape May there are some great beaches for you to spend your time on. New Jersey has a coast and with a coast comes lovely sandy beaches. It’s a big beach and there’s never too much of a crowd. If you go during high tide you can see some good size waves too, ideal for boogie boarding.

The downside is that there’s a bit of a cost involved, but some people are willing to pay for a clean beach with concessions.

Princeton University

princeton_university1

Despite the reputation you shouldn’t forget that New Jersey is the home of Princeton, and with it Princeton University. The public at large is allowed to visit the University and see first hand one of the great houses of education in the United States.

The university also sometimes puts on performances including a Christmas play. Not to mention the stadium. There’s a lot to enjoy at Princeton even if you aren’t a student.

Princeton University Art Museum

art_museum_princeton1

Staying in Princeton University, literally, you can visit the Princeton University Art Museum. There are some fantastic pieces on display in the museum as Princeton has quite a collection.

They’re also kind enough to offer it all for free. You can walk in, take in some much needed culture, and then walk back out. They have a good collection of European art including some Van Gogh paintings that are worth anyone’s time.

Silverball Pinball Museum

If you’d rather have some more fun you can head down to Asbury Park and enjoy the Silverball Pinball Museum. I know it is not super girly, but I have a thing for these machines.

You have to pay to get in but all the machines are free to use. And boy are there tons of machines. There’s more on offer besides just pinball too. If you like pinball then you’ll definitely love the pinball museum and you’ll lose a whole day in there before you know it.

New Jersey has something for everyone; from beach goers, to art lovers, to people who just want to have some fun. There’s bound to be something that you’ll enjoy there. Take the shore out of Jersey and you’re left with Jersey, which isn’t a bad place to be.

How to clear Acne Scars

acne_scars

No one wants to live with acne, and especially the acne scar remnants. We saw the different types of acne scars in my previous post. These acne scars can affect anyone post-puberty and can last for weeks or even months. Some people turn to laser treatment to get rid of their acne scars but this just isn’t feasible for some people.

Here are some other methods of how to get rid of acne scars.

Acne Treatments

It’s difficult to find treatment for acne scars because there are very few products out there that specifically mention they treat acne scars. Most of them will instead just make vague references to it and suggest they brighten your skin and similar things. One acne treatment that does specifically mention it can treat acne scars is Clean and Clear. It’s a powerful anti-acne treatment that can also help deal with those pesky post-breakout marks and scars.

Bio Oil

bio-oil

Bio Oil is one of those “all in one treatments” that promises to fix just about everything wrong with your skin. It advertises that it can help heal scars, remove stretch marks, correct uneven skin tone, alleviate aging skin, and moisturise dehydrated skin. Whether it can do all of that or not is up for debate but it’s very effective at treating hyperpigmentation (acne scars) and if it’s as good at treating everything else it promises to do then you can’t go wrong.

All Natural Papaya Turmeric Grapefruit Skin Lightening Mask

One of the best products out there for treating acne scars is the  All Natural Papaya Turmeric Grapefruit Skin Lightening Mask that I really like. You can buy it on amazon. com.

One of the things that’s so great about it is how quickly it works. Just apply the mask for around 20 minutes before you go to bed and take it off. Give the mask a little time to sink in and you’ll see that the marks begin to fade by the time you remove the mask. By the time you wake up your face skin will be really improve.

Vitamin C

Vitamins are good for just about everything in the body with each vitamin having something it’s particularly good at. Vitamin C is great at brightening your skin and, if used properly, is incredible at removing redness. One of the best vitamin C beauty products on the market is the Peter Thomas Roth mask. They make it using the camu camu berry; which is purported to have 30x the amount of vitamin C as an orange. Whether that’s true or not it doesn’t change the fact that this is one of the most powerful vitamin C products for fading acne scars.

Acne scars really don’t have to be the end of the world. There’s no need to live with them. Check also the awesome blog post which explains all the ways of getting rid of acne scars, from one of my favorite beauty blog: myawesomebeauty.com. you shoudl find other valuable ideas to help remove your acne scars. However, you should bear in mind, this is a long battle that will require patience and commitment. Your skin will thank you .

Types of acne scars

I hate acne.

Those pimples.

I had to struggle with them when I was younger. About the only thing worse than getting acne is when they leave acne scars behind.

They can leave your face looking pretty bad and ruin your self-esteem.

That is why I decided to start a few posts about acne hoping they would help you, my dear sisters 🙂

The following is more information about the different types of acne scars. The acne scars treatment you need might depend on the type of acne scars so it’s important to recognise which types of acne scars you have.

types of acne scars

Rolling Scars

Rolling scars are one of the more common types of acne scars. They are either broad depressions in the skin or shallow indentations in the skin. Rolling scars will usually have rounded sloping edges which is how they earned the name “rolling scars”. They are rough to the touch and appear to be rippled. Rolling scars are caused when the tissue under the skin is damaged.

Boxcar Scars

Boxcar scars are similar to rolling scars but there are differences. They look similar but their steep and defined edges can make them look like the scars you get from chicken pox. These scars are often quite deep and can look like the impression left behind when you dig your nails into your skin.

Ice Pick Scars

Ice pick scars are deep and narrow. They look like large empty pores on the skin and they are great at catching the light. The downside of this is that they are quite noticeable and very difficult to simply cover up with makeup.

Keloid Scars or Hypertrophic Scars

Keloid scars are a common kind of acne scar common in dark-skinned people. They are created when scar tissue forms on the skin because too much collagen has been produced. This all starts when the acne doesn’t make it through the healing cycle and it leaves broken skin behind. Collagen is formed and gathers around the damage. It builds up, which is part of the natural healing process to seal the wound over. Sometimes the body doesn’t handle all the collagen too well and you’re left with large and uneven scars as a result.

Rolling scars, boxcar scars, and ice pick scars are more common that keloid and hypertrophic scars. All acne scars are bad news though. The good news is that there are treatments out there.

It’s possible to clean up your face and get back your natural appearance. Find the right acne scar treatment for you and take back control of your skin.

My Favorite Victoria Angels

Playboy may have the bunnies but Victoria’s Secret has the Angels.

These gorgeous women are the models you see whenever you open up a Victoria’s Secret cataloge or tune in to one of their events. They certainly have no acne issues… Yep, I am a big fan of the angel show, I guess every woman would like to look like one of them 🙂

So what are my own personal list of favorite Victoria Angels ?

Adriana Lima

copyright http://allimage4u.blogspot.fr/2012/10/adriana-lima.html

copyright http://allimage4u.blogspot.fr/2012/10/adriana-lima.html

Adriana Lima is one of the world’s most loved Victoria Angels, so it’s no surprise she’s one of mine.

She’s been with the company since 2000 and is still just as beautiful as ever. She’s gone on to become one of their most recognised faces, appearing in Super Bowl ads and much more. She is also devoutly religious and, despite what you may think of models, stayed a virgin until married. She proved that even a charitable religious girl could be a sexy underwear model.

Anais Mali

by Christopher Macsurak , https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=30479047

Anais Mali may be relatively new to the world of Victoria’s Secret, only joining the company in 2011, but she’s everything you’d expect from a French underwear model.

Soon after she arrived in New York she was already doing campaigns for Levis, among others. Something that helps set this beautiful woman apart from the rest is her unique heritage. Her mother comes from Chad and her father is Polish, giving her a striking face anyone can recognise and fall in love with.

Liu Wen

By CHRISTOPHER MACSURAK, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=32217315

Liu Wen became the first Asian model to join the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2009 but she was already a famous model before then. She was also a member of the “Every Woman Can Be Beautiful” campaign in 2010. Wen isn’t the typical blonde bombshell you see with models. She’s not even blonde. But she is still beautiful and is proof positive that you don’t need to fit some definition of “perfect” to be a model.

Alessandra Ambrosio

By Joey Pasion, M.D. Original uploader was Number1spygirl, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=3065877

Alessandra Ambrosio is a woman truly dedicated to her craft and the pursuit of beauty. Just three months after giving birth to her first child she was back on the runway. Alessandra has modelled practically everything for Victoria’s Secret and has done so many cover ads and cameos that she’s become almost a household name. Alessandra is a Brazilian beauty who will always look beautiful, no matter what she does or wears.

Lara Stone

by Jiyang Chen — https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=18191617

Lara Stone is another supermodel who may not fit the look, but still looks gorgeous. She was named Woman of the Year in 2011 by British GQ and has been capturing the hearts of men since she joined the fashion show in 2008. Even those who don’t really care much about the fashion world know something about Lara Stone. Thanks to her gap tooth she has a recognisable face but most would agree it doesn’t hamper her beauty.

These are only a few of the best Victoria’s Angels.

All the women that Victoria’s Secret hire are undoubtedly beautiful.

Some, like Adrianna Lima, are just as beautiful on the inside. They may not all be blonde bombshells but they are all gorgeous. They’re also far more than just a pretty face, so don’t underestimate them and the work they put in to what they do.

What about you? who are your favorite angels?

What I make sure to incorporate in my diet for healthy Hair And Nails

healthy-nailsEveryone knows the benefits of eating healthy. Eating the right foods can keep your body healthy and promote good mental health too. There are other benefits to eating healthy though. Every part of your body is affected by food including hair and nails. Here are some foods you should eat to promote having healthy hair and nails and that I always keep in mind when buying my weekly foods 🙂

Vitamin H

Vitamin H is also known as Biotin and is one of the best things for your hair. It restores strength to your hair and does wonders for thinning hair. It’s even used to treat diseases where thinning/loss of hair is a symptom.

Vitamin H can be found in foods like bananas, beans, eggs, and greens. Green things are usually good for you.

Omega-3

Any time people mention healthy food they mention Omega-3. It’s a fatty acid that is really good for both hair and nails. It adds some shine to your hair and promotes healthy nails.

Omega-3 is commonly found in fish and, like Vitamin H, can be found in eggs.

Protein

Protein is important for all areas of the body. Protein is one of the main building blocks of the body. Almost everything in the body is made of one kind of protein or another. The downside of protein is that protein heavy foods are sometimes fat heavy too, which pushes them into unhealthy territory.

Stick to low fat proteins like chicken, seafood, grains, and other low fat meats. One great way to get more protein in your diet is to scoop whey protein into a smoothie.

Blueberries

Blueberries are rich in antioxidants. When your hair and nails become too oxidised they get damaged. So eating foods that are rich in antioxidants, like blueberries, are great for your hair and nails.

Blueberries are actually the most antioxidant of all the fruits.

Magnesium

Stress is a pretty big factor when it comes to hair loss and damage. Stress really kills your hair. Magnesium helps relieve stress and, as a result, keeps your hair and nails in good condition. A lack of magnesium also damages your nails.

You can find magnesium in almonds, leafy greens, and soybeans. All of which are good for you and you should be eating anyway.

Calcium

Calcium goes hand in hand with Vitamin D, as the body needs Vitamin D to absorb calcium in the first place. Calcium is, of course, the building block of bones. As nails are a kind of bone you need calcium to support healthy nails. A lack of Vitamin D also contributes to hair loss.

Goat Milk is a very good source of calcium. If you feel you really lack Vitamin D you can consult your doctor to see about supplements.

You can say it’s a general rule that foods that are considered healthy for the body (greens, eggs, milk, fish) are also good for your hair and nails . Though there are also some foods that are bad for you that are also good for hair and nails. Beer is surprisingly good for them. Just don’t overdo it!
